Ibou is a patient teacher with a great way of helping his students hear and understand the music, and to find the connections between the djembe, dun dun, sangban, kinkinny and bell parts.

His classes are challenging and fun, and Ibou breaks down the rhythms so students can build skills at their own pace.

The history and context of each rhythm is also explained, with shared personal stories and experiences, so the students can gain cultural understanding as well as percussive proficiency.
